KEANU REEVES DABBLES IN SCIENTOLOGY

The remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still starring Keanu Reeves recently released their first poster.  If that doesn’t look like rejected cover art for an L. Ron Hubbard paperback, I don’t know what does.

MOVIE STARDOM IS NOW HEREDITARY TITLE

01.15.08 Written by Vince Mancini

A day after it was reported that Tom Hanks’ son Colin (you may remember his douchey ass from Orange County, or more recently, Untraceable – he’s the one who talks like Napoleon Dynamite) is being offered a role in Spielberg’s Chicago 7, Will Smith’s son Jaden has landed a part in The Day the Earth Stood Still.

The 9-year-old is the son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. He co-starred in 2006 with his father in "The Pursuit of Happyness," for which he won a Teen Choice Award and an MTV Movie Award.

Holy crap, a Teen Choice Award AND an MTV Movie Award??  I bet if he ever goes to a Dairy Queen the drinks will be on the house.  Though I’m sure he doesn’t.  He’s probably only ever been to restaurants that only big stars know about that serve unicorn eggs and giraffe meat and stuff you and I couldn’t afford because we keep it too real.

KEANU PLAYS KLAATU, KNOWS KUNG FU

11.06.07 Written by Vince Mancini

Whoa.

In yet another original move by Hollywood, Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly will star in a remake of the 1951 sci-fi classic, The Day the Earth Stood Still.

In the original, an alien named Klaatu comes to Earth in a flying saucer to deliver a message: learn to live in peace or be destroyed.

Connelly will play Helen, the scientist who makes first contact with the alien named Klaatu (Reeves).

Scott Derrickson [The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Hellraiser: Inferno] is directing from a script by David Scarpa.

In the remake, the aliens reportedly come to Earth destroy it because they’re jealous of Earth’s freedom and its unclean women.
