WATCH WILL FERRELL KARATE KICK A PUMPKIN

Even karate guys probably have to admit this is a way better idea than pieces of wood

Columbia Pictures recently released a red-band trailer (after the jump) for Step Brothers, directed by Adam McKay, starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly.  The red-band trailer was a good idea since most of the jokes seem to involve sucking camel dick or dropping f-bombs at a job interview.  Not that I’m complaining.  I read this yesterday and literally crapped my pants from laughing too hard.  See, it’s funny because they use naughty words.

In related news, I think "Step Brothers" would’ve been a great title for Stomp the Yard.

WILL FERRELL, JC REILLY: ‘STEP BROTHERS’

02.28.08 Written by Vince Mancini

Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are obviously trying to capitalize on the success of Step Up, Step 2 the Streets, and the recently announced Step Up 3-D with this latest film, Step Brothers.  But I watched the whole thing and didn’t see one step contest.  I’m so confused!  How will they ever save the rec center?

Haha, just kidding, that movie obviously would’ve been called Step Brothas. This trailer actually cheered me up a little.  Whereas Semi Pro promos make me want to scream at inanimate objects, this gave me a mild chuckle.  Perhaps Will Ferrell hasn’t Sandlered just yet.

WILL FERRELL, JC REILLY ARE STEPBROTHERS

01.08.08 Written by Vince Mancini

These two pictures of Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly in Step Brothers have hit the web.  LIKE A TON OF BRICKS! *sigh*

In the film Will plays Brennan Huff, a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old who lives with his mother, Nancy (Mary Steenburgen). John C. Reilly plays Dale Doback, a terminally unemployed forty-year-old who lives with his father, Robert (Richard Jenkins).  When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as step brothers.  As their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness threaten to tear the family apart, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys will orchestrate an insane, elaborate plan to bring their parents back together.  To pull it off, they must form an unlikely bond that maybe, just maybe, will finally get them out of the house.  The screenplay is by Will Ferrell & Adam McKay from a story by Will Ferrell & Adam McKay & John C. Reilly. [Collider]

Translation: "Story by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay and John C. Reilly" means "We goofed around for a while and we filmed it!"

Oh well, we’ll always have Green Team. I’m starting to wonder if Will Ferrell ever does anything they don’t film.
