DAILY CIRCLE JERK: BUS FIGHT EDITION

10.20.09 Written by Vince Mancini

This video of a middle-aged Chinese lady getting in a fist fight with a middle-aged black lady on the muni bus in San Francisco currently has about 11,000 views.  The best part is, the guy sitting behind them in the sunglasses is my friend “Punchface Thunderdog,” whom you may know as the creator of George Washingto/”Zombies are to be exploded.“  He says this happens so often that the only reason he looked up from his book was that he realized someone was filming.  Haha, I love you, race relations.

SATURDAY PHOTOSHOP

07.11.09 Written by Vince Mancini

The one who calls himself Punchface Thunderdog (who previously made the George Washington vs. Zombies picture that you’ve probably seen on FilmDrunk a few times) made this photoshop out of the Brothers poster, and I liked it so much I put a ring on it.  Look how much concentration is going on in this picture now.  I’m wilting from the pensiveness.  Don’t try this at home.

JESUS & VIKINGS FIGHT SPACE DRAGON. AGAIN.

07.16.08 Written by Vince Mancini

I know I linked a trailer for Outlander two days ago, but that link’s already broken and there’s already a new trailer up.  Once again, here’s the story:

A dude from outer space named Kainan (Jim Caviezel – Jesus from The Passion) crash lands in Viking-era Norway, pursued by a Cloverfield-looking space dragon called a Moorwen.  Kainan leads the alliance to kill the Moorwen by fusing his advanced technology with the Viking’s Iron Age weaponry.

Hmm, it all sounds a little mundane to me.  So futuristic Jesus crash lands on Earth and has to team up with the Vikings to fight a space dragon.  But then what happens?  I dunno, I’m just not sure there’s a story there.  (I’m also including the painting I commissioned of Jesus circumcising a dragon – it’s strangely relevant, don’t you think?)

KARL HUNGUS IS IN A MOVIE

04.08.08 Written by Vince Mancini

The trailer for Anamorph is online. A “psychological thriller” starring Willem Defoe as cop tracking a serial killer, it looks like the kind of movie Charlie Kaufman’s fictional brother would’ve written in Adaptation. But Karl Hungus is in it so how bad could it be?

Anamorph is based on the concept of anamorphosis, a painting technique that manipulates the laws of perspective to create two competing images on a single canvas. [Editor’s Note: A technique notably employed in my painting of Jesus circumcising a dragon]

This of course is not to be confused with Manamorphosis, a documentary about my washboard abs.  They never killed anyone, but only because you can’t die from sexy.  Call me, ladies.

GOOD LORD THESE CHICKS ARE BORING

02.28.08 Written by Vince Mancini

OMG, ScaJo and NPort are totally BFFS!  Please God, let them either make out or shut up.

Ever been to a cocktail party where people tell lame stories and everyone politely chuckles?  Oh. Well I suppose you didn’t need to watch this video then.
