It’s Oscars week, so we’re back with an Oscars-themed show, or as close as we could get. We brought on Burnsy for a new segment, HOT GOSS! With Ashley Burns, where our very own (and very drunk) Burnsy runs down the latest in celebrity feuds, hook-ups, and scandals, from his own EXCLUSIVE Florida sources. Then we bring on Laremy Legel from Film.com to give us his Oscar locks. Other topics include The FP premiere party I hosted over the weekend, as well as a Big Lebowski party, Brendan’s freakish memory, and Ben describes his favorite scenes from all the Oscar movies he didn’t see.

• 00:01:33 – This past weekend the guys attended a Big Lebowski party with Vince’s dad in character as the Dude. Brendan witnessed someone dressed as Walter maintaining order of the bathroom line, as well as another Dude carrying a rug. The FP screening and Q&A that Vince hosted is also discussed.
• 00:14:00 – Hot Goss with Ashley Burns: Burnsy brings all the hot new gossip out of Hollywood from New York basketball sensation Jeremy Lin’s date to the Oscars, Dakota Fanning’s warning to Meryl Streep, Chloe Moretz’s driving lessons, Octavia Spencer’s feud with Emma Stone, and a shocker about Nicole Kidman. Ben, Brendan, and Bret talk about staging a coup and taking over the Frotcast.
• 00:34:13 – Frotcast Voicemail Grab Bag is played. Vince brings back What’s up with the Internet to play a new song by J-Bo OMG entitled Deep Throat.
• 00:38:07 – Laremy gets blooped in to talk Oscars, especially for those looking to make wagers. He goes over his best bets to make money, as well as his lock picks for the top categories. The discussion veers off to George Clooney f*cking with Andy Serkis, bumbaclot Jar Jar Binks, and other tangents.
• 01:18:00 – Ben gives us his favorite moments from some of the Oscar nominated flicks, such as a dubstep club, an underwater gangbang, the Beatles, a swan dive, and anthropomorphic plant life.

This week we get a surprise call from American Apparel founder Dov Charney, bloop in Laremy, play some funny news clips, play listener voice mails, discuss Chronicle and We Need to Talk About Kevin, and of course Zombie Ass: Toilet of the Dead. As always other jackassery ensues…and Bret does his first impression. DANGER!

• 00:03:30 – Some listener voicemails are played, one with a question for Vin/Ben(?) about a boomerang wiener, and the other about how The Big Bang Theory makes fun of nerds for being smart. We get a brief origin story of Street Law dating back to Brendan’s high school, and Tosh.0‘s own Street Court.
• 00:18:18 – Dov Charney calls in to talk about American Apparel’s sponsorship of the Valentine’s Day show at the Milk Bar, where Vince will be performing. Dov will be in town scouting and sedating all the sexy SF hipsters for modeling gigs.
• 00:32:42 – Laremy joins the Frotcast. Vince plays some clips of Werner Herzog talking about chickens, a new kind of Russian opera, and the trailer for Zombie Ass: Toilet for the Dead.
• 00:46:50 – Vince, Laremy, and Bret talk Chronicle. While the found footage gimmick has lost its luster, the film does a good job representing high school life and what teenagers would really do if they had super powers. This leads to a talk of sex and their own teenaged minds. There is also some discussion about Disney animations versus Looney Tunes.
• 01:14:55 – Vince talks about working in the kitchen of a Chinese restaurant, and how to get a job in the service industry. Laremy brings up a topic that gets Vince to talk about his nemesis in the SF film critics circle. Brendan has just gotten back from his trip to NY, where he got heckled at the Giants’ Super Bowl parade.
• 01:32:00 – Vince needs to talk to about We Need to Talk about Kevin with Laremy.

• 00:55:22 – The only way to review Tower Heist is with Jamaican accents, the amazing talents of Cytheria, and don’t take the law into your own hands: take ‘em to haters court.

• Instead of playing a clip from one of my good stand-up shows, like any intelligent person would do, I play you one from a couple days ago where I got halfway into a joke and almost started a fight between Brendan and a heckler. Hey! Rough crowd, rough crowd. Try the Mad Dog, don’t forget to tip your hobo.

• We bring on Burnsy for a holiday music edition of Burnsy’s corner. Bret has never heard Fred Figglehorn before and almost loses it. His apoplection is palpable. This bit culminates in a horrific karaoke rendition of Nelson’s “I Can’t Live Without Your (Love and Affection).” Seems like forever that it’s been on Burnsy’s mind.

• We get Laremy Legel of Film.com to discuss awards season with us. Topic of discussion: have “awards movies” always been this calculated? Have awards voters always been this easily swayed by hype? We also get an exciting visit from “British Bill Cosby.”

• We answer your life/relationship questions, which occasionally gets overly personal/cathartic, as you might expect.

We went a little long this week, but only because we were having so much fun! Don’t you want to have fun? The only excuse for not listening this week is that you hate fun!
