Making fun of Valentine’s Day is kind of like slap-boxing a retarded kid — fun and should be done as much as possible.  With that in mind, here’s the latest from Landline TV, St. Patrick’s Day: The Movie.  It’s pretty much exactly what you’d expect from that concept, plus girls peeing and puking.  And no, that’s not a euphemism for Ashton Kutcher.  It is however, the title of one of my experimental films.  It’s literal, yet also a metaphor.

Jared from Landline TV just sent over their latest video, “Tim Burton’s Weekend at Bernie’s.”  Its self-explanatory-ness is matched only by the accuracy of its execution.  Why can’t more things be like this?  Instead, women are always sayin’ something isn’t bothering them when it actually is, flammable and inflammable actually mean the same thing, people are always sayin “new and improved’, but it can’t be both!  *takes bong load* Sometimes, like, the world just doesn’t make sense, bro.

Landline TV generally makes pretty solid videos (and then sends them to me — hooray for doing as little work as possible!) and this one is no different.  The basic premise is that visual effects are like a drug to James Cameron — he needs them them Tarantino needs drugs. Fake Michael Bay even shows up at one point.

After being turned down by producers, James Camerons life takes a downward spiral as he tries to come up with more money for his movie. Featuring: Tim Martin, Charlie Todd, Michael Dubin, Jonathan Fernandez, Jill Donnelly, Jared Neumark, Ben Rodgers and Mike Antonucci.

Anyway, it’s a fairly simple concept, but the execution is spot on, like tripping a fat kid.

Jared from Landline TV just sent me this video and I’m posting it, because can you imagine an easier way to do this job?  The premise: Ignoring widespread outcry over the alleged tastelessness of their Chris Farley ad (after the jump), DirecTV has gone ahead and hired more dead celebrities, including Heath Ledger, John F. Kennedy, and Jesus.  Wait a second, I found a flaw in this parody.  To quote my favorite catchphrase that never really took off,   “Jesus is not dead, are you gay?”

Landline TV‘s videos keep getting better, which is nice, because they save me the trouble of expending all my energy on brilliant industry analysis and photoshopping Paula Abdul on top of Mexicans.  Anyway, this is their first video since Megan Fox is CGI, and this one’s about the special Homeland Security task force created to deal with an increase in movie quoting caused by the release of Brüno.  Haha, stupid frat boys with their beer bongs and their movie quoting.  What a bunch of losers.  (*looks around*)  (*whispers*)  Psst, Big Lebowski quotes are still cool, right?
