There’s not much about my job I enjoy more than posting new clips from Black Dynamite (see also: here, here, and here).  It opens at the Tribeca fest today, and for everyone else on September 4th.  The above clip is called “Dojo Fight” and I’ve got a couple more clips after the jump, and still more over at Twitch. I finagled an early cut of the film, and the for the first 40 minutes it’s one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen.  The last 20, unfortunately, is nearly unwatchable, so I hope they’ve done something about it since then.  Speaking of endings, I’m currently working on a remake of Citizane Kane starring Vin Diesel, called Big Daddy Kane.  SPOILER ALERT: Rosebud’s a barracuda.

It’s almost enough to make me forgive the relative dearth of dancing antropomorphic condoms.  Almost. Tagline: This Diwali, two great civilizations… will wish they had never met! Ha, you can say that again, LOL!

Ip Man stars Donnie Yen as Yip Man, Bruce Lee’s mentor and the first martial arts master to teach the Chinese martial art of Wing Chun, which apparently involves punching people really fast until they die. Boy, if I could move my hand that fast I’d never leave the house!

The Forbidden Kingdom is the historic first collaboration between Jet Li and Jackie Chan, directed by… uh… the guy who did Stuart Little 2 and The Haunted Mansion.

After seeing the trailer, I was afraid the whole thing was going to be lame-ass wire fighting like Crouching Tiger, but the above clip looks more like classic Jackie Chan.  It has assuaged my concerns somewhat (hee hee, I said "ass wage").  I’ve noticed Jackie Chan fights well when he’s drunk.  Me, I tend to shout "YOU THINK YERR FUKIN BETTER’N ME?" while waving broken bottles menacingly at the jukebox on account of it started playing Kansas.  Goddamn college-boy jukebox, cain’t gonna tell me shit.
