On this week’s Filmdrunk Frotcast:

• We discuss Ben’s charity softball game against the Jonas Brothers. Their charity? Raising awareness about not texting while you drive. Sadly, this is all 100% true.
• Brendan shows up drunk and interrupts everybody. Also, he wore an argyle sweater vest.
• We play one of the most epic Old Dirty Bastard clips in history, sent to us once again by Danger Guerrero (you can watch it below).
• I try unsuccessfully to convey why I think Project Runway is still must-see television.
• We play “Meet the Drunkards” with ChinoMoreno (surprise! she’s a girl).  The best part is when I ask her an idiotic question and she says “….Ugh.”  Priceless. Oh yes, expect that sound bite to get re-used. (34:30)

Dane Cook recently took to Twitter and sparked a rumor that he might’ve auditioned for the part of Captain America.  Is it true, a joke, or just another brilliant way to get people talking about him?  Say what you will about his comedy completely lacking punchlines, he’s always been a great self promoter.  Here’s what he said (via /Film):

• Im minus 7% body fat now, bones replaced w/lightweight scandium alloy! Had 2 get shredded 4 Captain America audition & standup tour.
• @Marvel_Freshman r u really auditioning 4 Captain America? Dc: I did already. They might b goin young. I say go RDJr route-gimme the part!

Get it?  Minus 7% body fat?  It’s so hilarious and wacky, how does he come up with this stuff?  Hmm, though I seem to remember Louis CK going on a similar diet six years ago…  Meanwhile, a site called Hollywire is claiming that Joe and Kevin Jonas have also auditioned for the role.  Sadly for JoBro lovers like us, it’s an easy rumor to invent based on the fact that Disney owns Marvel, and I’m inclined not to trust a site that can write a sentence like “But its interesting to see what direction the highly potential hit film is taking.”  Yes.  Highly potential.  Indeed.  But if it’s true, I can’t argue with Marvel’s instincts.  I mean, look at this picture and tell me the first thing to come to mind isn’t “pinnacle of masculine perfection.”

Which JoBro is that, agan? Jake?  Simon?  Sneezy?  Queerbait?  I get them all confused.

Ed Helms plays Andy on The Office and co-stars in The Hangover as “Dr. Pussy”*, which was my nickname in high school, probably because I got so much of it!  (…yelled at me while the football players kicked me in the belly).  Aaaaaanyhoo, I met Ed Helms once and I could tell he’s every bit as cool and funny as he seems on TV, because he said “Hello” and shook my hand and walked away to go talk to some other people.  Last night on Conan, he did some scatting with the Jonas Bros.  The kind where you make noises with your mouth, not the kind where you poop on a German girl’s face.  He sounds really good, even though Conan kind of steps on the bit by laughing really loud in the middle of it.  If it were me I would’ve made like Axel Rose and jumped across the desk and beat that ginger until he farted blood, but Ed Helms was a good sport.  Like I said, he’s nice.

Wayne Allwine, voice of Mickey Mouse since 1977, is dead of complications from diabetes at age 62.  Allwine was actually the third guy to do Mickey’s voice, after Walt Disney and Jimmy MacDonald.

Allwine’s wife, Russi Taylor, who provides the voice of Minnie Mouse, was at his side at the time of his passing. Allwine, also was an Emmy-winning sound effects editor, was the voice of Disney’s world-renowned mouse since 1977, when he first lent his familiar falsetto to animated segments for “The New Mickey Mouse Club.” [THR]

I think I’ll always remember Allwine best for the time he beat up the Jonas Brothers on South Park.  I mean, I know that wasn’t him or even the real Mickey Mouse, but the heart wants what it wants.
