High Kick Girl high-kicked its way into my heart with an awesome teaser a few months ago and I’ve been following it closely ever since (sometimes I sleep outside its bedroom window).  I have the new trailer after the jump, and it still doesn’t have English subtitles, but luckily the language of Asian girls in short skirts kicking people in the face is universal.  Also: pay special attention to the knee to the head she takes at the 1:19 mark.  How awesome is that sound effect?  It sounds like they recorded a melon being crushed.  That’s probably how they disposed of it after cutting a hole in it, putting it in the microwave, and making love to it. I think there’s a metaphor in there.

Here’s a new, even longer trailer for High Kick Girl, a Japanese film in which a girl, as you’ll remember, kicks high.  This time around there’s even more action, all set to what sounds suspiciously like the theme music of an 80s sitcom.  Any second, you expect them to stop fighting, smile at the camera, and share a playful noogie. Or a freeze frame-fade to black and white just when High Kick Girl’s about to get violated by a mischievous octopus.

The awesomely title Japanese film High Kick Girl has a teaser trailer which you can watch below.  You’ll be watching it and she just stands there for a while and you’ll be all like, Dude, is she gonna high kick or what? And I don’t wanna spoil the suprise but you better believe she high kicks.
