This video is 36 seconds of dark-as-hell-ness.  It’s currently entered in the Fantastic Fest 2009 competition by Nova Scotian Jason Eisener.  He’s the same guy who worked on the “Hobo with a Shotgun” [probably NSFW] trailer that screened during some showings of Grindhouse, mostly in Canada.  Instead of using this as an opportunity to take cheap shots at Canada, I am instead going to congratulate them on having theaters and electricity and health coverage.  Well done.  Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to read the instructions on this do-it-yourself angioplasty kit.

New Zealand's Zoe Bell, star of "Death Proof" and stunt double for Lucy Lawless and Uma Thurman, will soon be starring in her own movie, according to RopeofSilicon.

Bell will play a U.S. soldier adrift after returning home from a tour of duty in Iraq who decides to help a young girl in trouble. The project is based on an original idea from [Marco] Weber, who also will produce, and screenwriter Sarah Thorpe (Twisted).

In Jackie Chan-like flair she told The Hollywood Reporter, "…one thing is certain: I will be doing all my own stunts on the film."

Big deal.  I do all my own stunts.  Mostly just not wiping after dumps and smoking cigarettes while I masturbate.
