Got Milk’s latest print ad shows Ryan Reynolds in skin-tight spandex with a post-money shot milk mustache, just as he often appears in my prison fantasies GRRR, FOOTBALL! It blows my mind every time I take the time to think about it that “Got Milk” has proven itself one of the most enduring advertising slogans of all time, and that’s to say nothing of the fact that we have Michael Bay to thank for it all.

Meanwhile, The Green Lantern also released a new trailer, which you can watch below. This one does a more thorough job explaining the Green Lantern mythology to the people who’ve never read the comic books, i.e. 99.9% of the population.  It revolves around having your entire existence validated by a ring, so girls should love it (the ones who go to Kate Hudson movies, anyway). The spot also has plenty of new footage from the film, and boy, is there any shot in this movie that isn’t at least 60% CGI?  Not that this would ever happen, but say for the sake of argument that Green Lantern won an Oscar, I think the director and producers should have to sit there and clap while 15 Koreans chugging Red Bull collect the trophy.  It’s only fair.

This isn’t news in the sense that it’s new, it’s more like holy-crap-how-come-I-never-knew-that news, if that makes any sense.  Anyway, remember the “Aaron Burr” ad from 1993?  The first Got Milk spot, the one that launched the most pervasive, most oft and annoyingly copied ad campaign in recent memory?  Yup, that was a Michael Bay commercial.  I’m not sure how to feel now that I know that.  On the one hand, you can’t deny that it’s a really solid, perfectly-executed commercial. But on the other, does this mean we have Bay to blame for an annoying, un-clever slogan that refuses to die after 16 years and can be applied to any product with a sufficiently hacky marketing department?  One thing is for certain: definitely could’ve used more tigers.

Hugh Jackman recently went on the Spanish television show El Hormiguero, which, according to my junior high experience with Spanish, translates roughly as “The hormi white person.”  The Wolverine actor proceeded to stand between a jockey and a guy wearing a bulging, skintight bodysuit with a cape, in an apparent attempt to look more butch by comparison.  An attempt which was a resounding success.  Touché, Jackman, touché.

But then, before the image had a chance to register, he starred in this Got Milk ad sporting a wifebeater and cum on his upper lip.   Why must my love life be so confusing!

This is the latest Playgirl cover starring the Dark Knight himself.  Ha, just kidding, it’s a picture from the upcoming ‘Body By Milk’ ad campaign.  Milk: It’ll really put a bulge in your codpiece.
