Win a Miami Connection Prize Package!

Written by Vince Mancini / 12.11.12

DUDES (and I mean that in the gender-neutral sense of the word)! Have you ever wanted to watch Miami Connection in high-def DVD or Blu-Ray video while rocking out to synth pop on vinyl and wearing a shirt that keeps your guns free while you air keytar? Who am I kidding, of course you have. Well guess what, today is your lucky day, because I have just such a prize pack to give away in honor of Miami Connection’s DVD release. Miami Connection hits DVD, Blu-Ray, VOD, SBD, and most importantly, VHS, today, and you can watch it in high-def right here for $6. So even if you don’t win this sweet prize pack, it’s still a pretty good day.

DO you want to win this prize package? (*points at crotch*)

Here’s how: Be the fourth person to email me correctly answering the following question: What are either of the two alternate titles for Miami Connection (not on IMDB)?

[UPDATE: CLOSED. Congrats, Johnny.]

After the jump, enjoy some Miami Connection trailers and gif-related fun.

FilmDrunk Photoshop Challenge: Danny Trejo’s Campaign Signs Need Help

Written by Ashley Burns / 06.08.12

One of my long-running goals of writing guest posts on this site is to make people love me more than Vince. Alas, that’s hard to do when I occasionally get things wrong and write posts about how Robin is a girl in an upcoming Batman film. But I know the cure to that and that cure is PRIZES!!!

When Vince and I saw the above image on The Superficial the other day, we both thought the same thing – PILLOW FIGHT! We also thought that it was a great image to photoshop and we should probably strike while the iron is hot. The problem, though, is that between my regular job of curing cancer and the several hours that it takes to produce one White House Down storyboard, I just don’t have the time to give this photo the attention it deserves.

What I do have is some DVDs that I’ve collected over the past few months with the intention of giving out as prizes but have been too lazy to remind Vince about. That changes today. Post your Danny Trejo campaign sign photoshops in the comments and I will award my favorites with some With Leather t-shirts (shut up Erswi, yours is coming) and the ultimate grand prize, a DVD copy of Evil Bong 1 and 2.

Let the games begin, putos.

2012 Oscars Best Picture Bracket Contest Winners

Written by Ian Sobel / 02.27.12

"We did it. We fooled the Americans."

As most predicted, The Artist won Best Picture at the 84th Annual Academy Awards last night, which means Drunkards won too. Well three of you who guessed The Artist would win won. And those three are…

2012 Oscars Best Picture Bracket Winner

Written by Ian Sobel / 02.24.12

And the winner is…THE ARTIST!!!!!

No surprise there. If you voted for Midnight in Paris, it would appear that you are either a contrarian or racist against mulatto films. In this case, black & white.

So if The Artist wins Best Picture at the The Oscars this Sunday night (it will), I’ll draw THREE names from everyone who voted for The Artist in the final round. Those three lucky Drunkards will win FilmDrunk shirts in the size and color of your choosing. Unless Vince is out of your size. He can’t sew those things as fast as their popularity demands.

See you on Monday with the winners! Unless something other than The Artist wins Best Picture. Then it’s been real fun playing with you. Don’t tell the cops. I’ve got priors.

2012 Oscars Best Picture Bracket: Round 3

Written by Ian Sobel / 02.23.12

This is the final round, Drunkards! The Artist beat The Descendants by a landslide with 67 votes to 13 votes. BUT Midnight in Paris only beat Moneyball by three votes. THREE! 43 to 40 votes. And I’m not even factoring in how blitz I was when I tallied, so this whole thing could be as f*cked as the 2000 Presidential Election. I kid. It’s completely fool proof.

LOCK IN YOUR FINAL VOTE.

It’s either The Artist or Midnight in Paris. Remember, vote for the film you think will win Best Picture at The Oscars this Sunday, NOT the film you like the most. Good luck and godspeed.

Same place, same time tomorrow, when I will announce the winner of FilmDrunks’ 2012 Oscars Best Picture Bracket.

Oh also, you can follow me on Twitter @ibsobel. All the semi-cool kids are doing it. [Editor's note: DON'T DO IT! HE WANTS TO WEAR YOUR SKIN LIKE A RAINCOAT!]
