KNIGHTLEY STILL DOING WEIRD MOUTH THING

Is this how lesbos do it in Britannia?

Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller, and Cillian Murphy star in The Edge of Love, a British WWII period piece whose synopsis sounds a lot more interesting than the trailer (after the jump):

The film centers around Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, his wife Caitlin and the curious real-life incident in which childhood friend Vera Phillips (Knightley) and her eventual husband William Killick opened fire on the Thomas home with a machine gun and a hand grenade. [RoS]

So I was watching the trailer, praying Keira Knightly would tuck in her goddamned bottom lip so that it doesn’t get shot off by a sniper, when she started whining “I love you,” exactly like she did in the Atonement trailer.  Almost on cue, the trailer flashed a review:  “This year’s Atonement, only better.”

Hmm, you’re gonna have to be a little more specific.  That’s like saying, “It’s like the holocaust, but better.”  So yeah, Edge of Love.  On the fun scale it’ll fall somewhere between 5 million Jews dying and your niece’s 6th birthday party.

AL PACINO PLAYING SAL DALI

Dali made this face in all known photographs of him. He wasn\'t very creative.

Cillian Murphy (Scarecrow in Batman Begins) is joining the cast of Dali & I: The Surreal Story, alongside Al Pacino. I guess the surreal part will be seeing Al Pacino play Salvador Dali.

The movie, which will span the 1960s-80s, follows the time in Dali's life when most of his great work was behind him and he became more flamboyant. Dali (Pacino) also developed a mentor-protege relationship with a young art dealer named Stan Lauryssens, who will be played by Murphy.

Well sure, most men become more flamboyant in their old age.  I can still remember my grandfather mincing about the house, telling me to keep my feet off the davenport and asking me about my BMs.  He's dead now, but sometimes I visit his grave, leave him flowers and tell him about my BMs.   It's silly, really. Because I know he's still out there; watching over me, making sure I go BM.  [via Hollywood Reporter]
