After the jump I’ve got the red-band trailer for Choke, adapted from the Chuck Palahniuk novel.  This trailer focuses on the sex addict angle, and it’s so vulgar and full of nudity that it almost makes up for all the boobless crap that normally masquerades as red-band material.  I’m telling you, bare breasts can cure cancer.

Still, I don’t like how they referred to Chuck Palahniuk as "The incendiary author of Fight Club."  Not every homosexual deserves to be introduced with a flame metaphor, jerks.

Choke opens September 26th.

Fox Searchlight just released a new batch of pics from Choke, the Chuck Palahniuk adaptation from newbie director Clark Gregg opening September 26th. 

I’ve seen the movie twice now, and I’m pretty sure the photo above comes from a scene which was not included in film festival cut of the movie. Clark Gregg filmed Palahniuk’s original ending to the book, but the scene didn’t play as expected, and it was cut from the final film. Could this mean that the original ending has been reinserted into the film? Or is the photo above from another moment in the film which I might be completely forgetting? [/film]

In the book, one of the characters has an obsession with building things out of stones.  While I can offer you no insight into whether the scene did indeed make the final cut of the film, I can tell you that all this talk of reinserting things into the movie’s end is gettin me all hot.

The toughest part about this for me won’t be the decision whether to attend, but rather how to disguise my nerd boner on the way past the ticket agent (and sweatpants do NOT work, trust me). Opens September 26 (in limited release, because God hates people who live outside of New York and LA).

Via IMPA, I’ve got the poster for Choke, the second movie adaptation of a Chuck Palahniuk book. 

It’s about a sex addict with a penchant for pretending to choke at restaurants and then bilking money from the people who save him.  Awesomely, the character is named Victor Mancini.  Directed by Clark Gregg, Choke stars Sam Rockwell and Anjelica Huston.

The poster looks like a cross between the creepy meatgrinder Hustler poster and the old Hitchcock silhouette – with a dash of Pale Man-eating-fairy from Pan’s Labyrinth.  Coincidentally, Pale Man-Eating Fairy was my nickname in high school.  (no trailer yet, but you can watch a clip after the jump)

The Twilight Bone, the third and hopefully final viral marketing porn spoof trailer for Snuff is online now.  The book hits stores today, and it’s probably going to sell a million copies.  Why?  Because they took the time to make fake movie trailers for a book.  In other news, Michael Madsen’s books of poetry now come with phlegm-filled handkerchiefs signed by the author’s assistant.

Other Palahniuk movie news: Choke release date has been bumped to September.
