Transformers-set-accident

A little more than a month after an extra was permanently brain damaged following an accident on the set of Transformers 3 in Chicago, there’s been another accident, this time on the set in Washington DC.  You can see video of the crash after the jump, but it looks like a cop car (the SUV indicated by the blue arrow above) drove through the set perimeter and smashed into the yellow Camaro playing Bumblebee.

A nearby shop owner tells TMZ there was a lot of police activity  in the area right at the time of the accident due to a bomb scare. It is unclear if the cop car involved in the accident was part of that investigation.  D.C. police tell TMZ the cop car involved was part of the Explosives Ordinances Division. We’re told the cop driving was taken to a nearby hospital.

Excuse me, but when you’re talking about a Michael Bay movie, it’s not a bomb threat, it’s a bomb promise.  BOOM.

UPDATE: Now with even better video:

THIS HALLOWEEN COSTUME OWNS

10.30.09 Written by Vince Mancini

I don’t care if this YouTube video has 400,000 views, I hadn’t seen it and it’s Halloween weekend and this is my site so suck it.  This guy’s Bumblebee costume would be awesome simply for looking like that and for having flashing lights.  But the best part is, he can actually transform into a car.  The sad part is, that means he (or whoever actually made it) spent way more time figuring out the actual logistics of this than anyone on the Transformers movies.

THERE’S NO CRYING IN ROBOT FIGHT CLUB!

04.20.09 Written by Vince Mancini

Thanks to MichaelBay.com, you can now watch the Transformers 2 footage that Bay originally screened at ShoWest in Vegas online.  If you were hoping for more silliness in this one, you’re in luck.  Apparently Bumblebee has been living in Shia LaBeouf’s garage like a robot Alf since the last movie, and in this scene, Shia explains why he has to go off to college without him.  You know, the ol’ it’s-not-you, robot-it’s-me speech.  And then Bumblebee moans like R2D2 and cries actual liquid tears.  What? You didn’t know robots could do that? Man, I want what Michael Bay’s been smoking.  Transformers 2: You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll watch giant robots punch each other, you’ll wish you were stoneder.
