We’re still a month away from the theatrical release of the remake of the 1976 film adaptation of Stephen King’s first novel, Carrie, but the fiery new TV spot is going to have all the cool kids shaking in their UGGs. As we’ve already seen in the trailers and the 1976 film, Carrie is a troubled teenage outcast who realizes she has the incredible ability to blow sh*t up with her mind, just in time for some bullies to play the ultimate prank on her at the school prom.
But the most important part of the clip is Julianne Moore as Carrie’s mom, saying that iconic line, “They’re gonna laugh at you,” and I still can’t believe that King had the balls to travel forward in time and rip off an Adam Sandler bit. Is there no shame in Hollywood and time travel anymore?
