I’m starting to get a little concerned about Hollywood’s indifferent attitude toward the Apocalypse this year, what with the end of the world coming to us in comedic form in This is the End, The World’s End and Rapture-Palooza. Well, I’m mostly concerned with the efforts on the names of these films, but I’m also worried that maybe Hollywood knows something that we don’t and they’re all just laughing at how we’re going to burn for eternity before 2013 comes to an end.
And now, in the new trailer for Rapture-Palooza, which stars Anna Kendrick as the average Jane who is wooed by Craig Robinson as the Devil, my beloved hometown of Orlando gets destroyed by a giant laser beam or nuke or whatever it is. I’m not saying that Florida cities shouldn’t be wiped out first when it comes time for eternal judgment, but I like to think that I’ve earned a heads up.
Rapture-Palooza destroys the world on June 7.
