Frotcast 145: Michael Bay, Derek Cianfrance, & the toilet paper revolution of 1880

This week on the Frotcast, we mostly just talked movie news. I know, weird, right? We played a little bit of my interview with Place Beyond the Pines director Derek Cianfrance. We also delved deep into the Comfort Wipe commercial (below), trying to imagine what happened to toilet paper in 1880 that led them to state “toilet paper technology hasn’t changed much since the 1880s.” We talked about Pain and Gain, with Ben in the familiar role of defending Michael Bay (sort of), discussed Ryan Lochte and whether he’s legitimately borderline retarded, and had an in-frotquarters visit from outgoing intern Adam, who says he’s from Rochester even though we’re pretty sure it’s Buffalo.
