This week on the Frotcast, we bring on Justin Halpern, who just got tapped to make an I Suck At Girls pilot for Fox, based on his book. Justin shares some stories of his days working as a PA for Tarantino’s A Band Apart productions, including one about a leopard-print dice cup and Samuel L. Jackson, and we both share PA stories. In addition, we talk Manti Te’o, discuss Killer Joe (which Brendan and Bret finally saw), and argue Oliver Stone vs. Brian DePalma. Enjoy, and check out Halpern’s new NBA podcast with Paul Shirley.
UPCOMING SHOWS: I’ll be doing comedy at Milk Bar (with Leslie Small, Eric Berry, Maronzio Vance) on January 29th as part of SF Sketchfest (Get cho tickets here), and The Hour of Power February 27th at the Hollywood Improv with Maria Bamford and Paul Scheer (Tickets here).

The Jesus DJ show was “Lucy, Daughter of the Devil”. Jon Benjamin, Jon Glaser…it was awesome.
San Diego is a perfect storm of college kids and the military, I was punched several times for no apparent reason while I lived there. Also, I’m no longer allowed inside Fred’s Tequila bar due to vomiting all over.
Don’t see Savages.

Great ‘cast btw, one of best I can remember.
I can’t express enough the deep and utter joy and solace it brought me when I heard that it’s not just my girlfriend who cannot decide on where to eat and that it happens, literally, everytime we have to make that decision.
I experience a related form of that when decided where to go eat, where I give my fiance suggestions, she doesn’t respond, then gets annoyed with me for not having any ideas. Women be cray.
It’s ok to be noncommittal, and it’s ok to be picky. BUT YOU CAN’T HAVE BOTH GODDAMMIT!!!
Oh. My. God. Halpern is great. Shirley SUUUUUUUUUUCKS. I put the most recent episode of that podcast as the only track on my ipod for the run I just did, and that is legitimately the fastest I have ever run in my life. I would’ve turned it off, but the horror happened to set in right when I realized I was on a PR pace, so I kept it on and hate-sprinted (read: 5.5 mph) back to my apartment. Vince, thank you for keeping it real.
