I’ve been saying for years to anyone who would listen that Comic Sans is the Smash Mouth of fonts, so perhaps I’m the ideal audience for the font-based humor of Jest.com’s latest supercut, which reimagines some of cinema’s most memorable title sequences with crappy fonts. SPOILER ALERT: they didn’t have to change Avatar, because it was already in Papyrus. If Comic Sans is the Smash Mouth of fonts, what does that make Papyrus? The Coldplay of fonts? The Dave Matthews Band of fonts? OOH, maybe the Maroon 5 of fonts! That Adam Levine with his slimy faux-worldliness. Discuss.
