UGH. That’s about all I can say about this. I mean, I’m sitting here pulling for the Oklahoma City Thunder to win the NBA Finals, regardless of which team comes out of the East, and now that I’ve seen the trailer for Thunderstruck, I might be reconsidering that. Kevin Durant is making his acting debut in this story of an NBA star who transfers his talent to a goofy white kid when they touch a basketball at the same time.
Seriously.
Well, you can guess how it all goes. The goofy kid, who looks like Justin Long’s sister, becomes the coolest guy at school when he takes the basketball team all the way or something. And then the hot girls suddenly dig him, because “OMG, he’s a douchebag but he can ball”. But poor Durant, he sucks now so his team and career are doomed. So they hilariously try to switch back and it doesn’t work and Durant just lets the kid have his talent, which is exactly how it would happen in real life.
There’d be no corpses in a Louisiana swamp at all.

Justin Long’s sister is History’s Greatest Monstar.
C’mon, NBA players can have a successful movie career, just look at Dennis Rodman. “B.A.P.S.” is an American classic, and if you don’t agree I don’t think we can hang out anymore.
So it’s kinda like freaky friday or Vice-Versa? But with basketball? This might be pretty good then. I’m glad to see Judge Reinhold finally getting work besides cameos in awesome television shows.
Are you trying to tell me Kazaam was a bad movie, Burnsy? Because that is horribly incorrect.
don’t even pretend like kareem abdul-jabbar wasn’t the best part of airplane!
what a glorious double-take from coach Belushi, i’m sold
I might be biased, but those shots of Durant playing terrible look adorable, and might be worth the price of admission to me. Or, to be more realistic, at least the price of 2 hours at home on my couch some hungover morning when it shows up on cable.
This is like if Space Jam and Like Mike had a special needs child.
Nailed it.
Oh my God. This is a real movie? I thought it was a fake trailer they used to fill time on the TNT show. I even made fun of my friend for thinking this was real.
