I know Morton already covered this in his Mid-Week Guide to DVD and Streaming, but I wanted to make sure everyone saw it. New, from the director of Ghost Dog: A Detective Tail and the producer of Metal Man (guess what that’s a rip-off of!) comes THE AMAZING BULK, new on DVD this week. (I enjoy that they seem to have thought calling it “The Incredible Bulk” might get them sued).
DID YOU KNOW: You can shoot an entire sci-fi action film using only a garage, a green screen, and basic knowledge of animation? It’s true!
The future is now, friends.
“What the hell is that??”
“WELL IT AIN’T BARNEY THE PURPLE DINOSAUR!”
A+ dialog, that.
LOKI: I have an army.
TONY STARK: WE HAVE A BULK!
(*cut to shot of badly CGI’d purple ogre with his dong hanging out*)
Another fun wrinkle – this video was actually uploaded to YouTube by the director himself, leading to fun comment exchanges like this:
I honestly thought this was a fake trailer!
Pinhead554 2 days agoNope, it’s legit. The film was released on DVD today. You can purchase a copy from Amazon
lewschoen in reply to Pinhead554 2 days agois this a joke??
Joraulpema123 1 week agoWell it’s a parody of comic book movies.
lewschoen in reply to Joraulpema123 1 week agoJust like how The Room is a “parody”, right?
Bagheadman in reply to lewschoen 2 days agoWhy don’t you see my movie first before you make judgements based on a trailer that is less than 2 minutes long?

AWWWWW SNAP! I believe him. All will be made clear once you buy the DVD from Amazon.

I’ve watched that trailer at least a dozen times over the past few days – it only gets better. Hurry up and deliver, Amazon!
Don’t know why they changed the title and trailer for Shame.
This looks more like a parody of a parody of a parody of comic book movies
I don’t think were on the snow level any more Toto
braaaahm!
Looks like a contender for best PC videogame of 1996.
It’s up against “Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties”.
The movie costs 18 dollars? Pretty ballsy trying to make back double your budget with one DVD sale.
So this is “Sucker Punch 2?”
The director is commenting everywhere. This was in response to a review on Amazon.

I am not sure who this lunatic is, but first of all he’s reviewing a movie here on Amazon before it has even been released. Second if you look at his movie reviews he considers them to all be the worst he’s ever seen and in each one makes a reference to Citizen Kane. Dude if you want Citizen Kane then watch it, but don’t expect every low budget film to be Citizen Kane. Please get a life and find something more constructive to do with your time, hey why don’t you try making a movie yourself, it’s not as easy as it looks :-)
Nice to see Karl Malone getting work.
to be fair to the “director”, this film is better than any of the previous hulk films. I give this 3 x Holo Pac’s
Note to Lewis Schoenbrun’s Google Alert:
I expect to get serious monetary compensation for exponentially increasing your DVD sales.
Hate to burst everyone’s bubble but I have the DVD and while it is isn’t the worst thing I’ve ever seen you’re much better off just watching the trailer and thinking out about what might be than actually seeing what is. Almost all the best moments are right there in the preview. The same animations get recycled so many times the novelty is lost. The finale is less an ending than a collage of random clip art. Amazing Bulk would have been better off as a short film because as a feature film no amount of beer or drugs can save it. Great trailer though.
It looks like it would be bad even if it was made to be bad as a joke…
My god…there are no words for this…
They couldn’t even get the chalk outline right. It goes AROUND the dead body, dummies!
No one will suspect that our top secret government facility is here behind this fence with the “TOP SECRET GOVERNMENT FACILITY” sign on it.
Needs more melodica.
MS Paint, The Movie
This one of the bad Tim and Eric jokes, right?
See, I was thinking that this was going to be another porn parody so I was disappointed. It does make them look way better in comparison. Ashlynn Brooke, Tori Black and Evan Stone really are much better actors than I ever thought.
For the last time, Tommy Wiseau is NOT a positive role model. Stop trying to appease him, filmmakers!
is this fourth or fifth actor to play amazing bulk now?
