The condensed version (as it’s really not that interesting):
Grotesco did a series of sketches for the Swedish leg of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009 involving a parody song called ‘Tingeling’, making fun of various parts of Sweden. That year, the European finale was held in Moscow, so for the final Swedish round, they did a Russian version of the song with all the trimmings (Red army choir, Russian mobsters, dancing kossacks, nesting dolls, etc.)
This prompted a complaint from the Russian embassy and, because nothing has happened in Sweden since 1986, that got some press coverage as well.
The producer of the show sent the embassy some flowers and a somewhat apologetic note, but SVT (roughly the Swedish equivalent of the BBC) subsequently clarified that this should not be seen as a formal apology.
I hate to nitpick (actually, I don’t – fuck you) but, if anything, it’s a parody of A Time To Kill.

If Grotesco was already a parody and they’re intentionally hamming it up with gibberish then I think the SNL version missed the point.
What is a parody of a parod–BRAAAAAAHHM!

Yeh, I see a real problem here with being the only person I know who has seen this now, because these phrases are just going to ping-pong around in my head.

By the way, I listened to this portion of the Frotcast about 5 times through today, as well as Vince’s Rebecca Black impersonation.

The Marines seems like a parody of Aliens. Fajita = Vasques “Has anyone ever mistaken you for a man?” and that other guy was Hudson “Game over man, Game over.” Even the whole “Cease fire!” part…….
