I like that Luis Guzman gets top billing on the Boogie Nights poster. He’s way overdue for some well deserved cred.

I’ll tell you this much about the Poles: they may not be able to read or write, or defend themselves, or understand the nuance of language, or swim, or clothe themselves properly, or solve simple mathematical equations, or maintain their dignity, or construct primitive dwellings, or make fire, or handle weaponry without maiming themselves, or raise their young, etc… but they certainly can make mildly perverted, extremely vague movie posters that do little to explain the plot. Fun fact: they’ve also learned to survive almost exclusively on a diet of turnips, sawgrass and vodka, even though a wide variety of foodstuffs are readily available to them.

Hey Vinnie Batsshit, go home and get your slideshow pants and then see Straight Time, not the feel good hit of 78 but Busey, Dean Stanton and Theresa Russell’s titties are worth the viewing!

Weekend at Bernie’s – didn’t think they could capture the essence of that opus on canvas.
And yet, they did.
They really did.

The Witches of Eastwick poster is referring to the wax doll the witches make of the Devil… It’s pretty oblique, though, might as well be a bowl of cherries…
Love the ‘great tracts of land’ on the Sex in the City poster…

Does anyone know where I can order some of these???
Vince Mancini: you’re a dullard. Poster art is huge in Poland. Do some research. Of course these posters are rad.

Hence why I did a 35-page slide show on it. I was being facetious. At least, I thought I was when I wrote it…

Oh well, in that case, all is well. I’m sure you’re a very pleasant fellow. Anyway, like I mentioned, poster art is big time in Poland. I believe there’s even a poster museum in Warsaw. I’ve never had the chance to visit it, but I’m sure it’s mega rad.

I’m almost positive that’s a Twins era Danny DeVito in that Witches of Eastwick poster.

There is a poster museum in Kraków, but design in general still gets recognition and a lot of awards… it is such country of artists for some reason.
BOOM, NOW PUT ON YOUR SLIDESHOW PANTS, HOMIE.
