WonderTonic recently put together some memorable moments from the 2006 Neil Labute/Nic Cage classic Wicker Man, and set them to New Yorker cartoons. I think it goes without saying that this was a pretty incredible idea.
I would've liked to see the Bear-punch scene reenacted in cartoon form, but I suppose it's hard to recreate the sight gag of Nic Cage dressed as a bear, using only cartoon with a guy laying on his shrink's couch. Seriously, how do none of these involve a shrink's couch? Every third New Yorker cartoon shows someone on a shrink's couch. Or sometimes it's an animal dressed like a human on the couch. Those are my favorite.

With New Yorker cartoons, I feel like they’re at least trying to amuse me while making me feel poor and undereducated. The covers just leave me disoriented. Like, bear-punched disoriented.

I only saw a few scenes of this movie on YouTube.
Every time i try to think of logical way Nicolas Gage in a bear suit, “Not the bees!” and “How`d it get burned” could fit together my head hurts and i want to drink.
So what? Gary Troudeau has been stealing lines from Keith Olberman for years now.
I really feel like Oliver missed a great opportunity for his live-action Yogi Bear clip in not including Nic Cage in a bear suit punching out women. Maybe it just would have been TOO awesome, I dunno . . .

What’s great about the Youtube “Best Scenes from Wicker Man” video is that the author is correct: the rest of the scenes in the movie are seriously mind-numbingly boring. Makes you yearn for the peaks of the aforementioned Cage losing his shit and Cage in a bear suit scenes.
