11.11.09 FACES OF ‘OLD DOGS’
Former Human Giant director Jason Woliner recently created a site called Faces of Old Dogs (facesofolddogs.tumblr.com), consisting solely of screencaps from the upcoming Robin Williams/John Travolta film Old Dogs. The site purports to be updated daily, and I assume it’s a sort of homage to those old Faces of Death videos. While it’s usually not my place to plug other websites, after seeing this clip, I realized that Old Dogs is not a movie so much as it’s a conceptual performance art piece, like Borat or Joaquin Phoenix, which intends to derive its humor not from the actual movie (*RECORD SCRATCH*) but from our reactions to it.

It helps if in both of those pictures you imagine the guy’s getting his nuts fondled by a homeless guy.

The banner pic is actually an two-year-old photograph of John playing peek-a-boo with Jett.
Its funny that you say Seth Green because in the first pic you obviously have a Robot. And in the second, I’m pretty sure Robin is pretending to be a Chicken.

I bet you when Robin was starting out, he told himself, “At least Mork and Mindy will be the most embarrassing thing I’ll have to do as an actor.”
I’m just worried about all the ocnfusion and disappointment this is going to cause among people looking for production stills of the Sex & the City sequel.
Am I the only one scared to look too long into Travolta’s dead eyes? He looks like a character from Polar Express.

Travolta looks like he’s in the middle of opening the Ark of The Covenant.
I’m starting to think that having the two actors in Hollywood that make the most fucked up weird faces getting cast in a film called Face/Off wasn’t a coincidence.
That’s the face that killed Jett Travolta.
