11.03.09 BEN STILLER, ROBERT DOWNEY TURN DOWN OSCAR GIG
According to Nikki Finke, who as far as I can tell is the only source for this, Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr. were approached by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences about hosting this year’s Oscars as a duo, but turned them down. Pretty disappointing, especially if RDJ was considering doing the whole show in blackface, as Billy Crystal used to do. But you can hardly blame them for not wanting to take orders from this guy:
“Mr. Shankman? You just won the Oscar… for being a massive tool. …Aw, crap, is he crying again? I should’ve known this would happen.”

Dude, I did that same exact routine at a club this weekend and I was the only one who cried.
I’d like to see RDJ host the Source Awards in blackface.
They should ask Adam Sandler. I understand he has a hard time saying no to bad ideas.
RDJ in blackface will host the Tony, Toni, Tone awards. It feels good.
Citing that they still want a black white guy to host the awards, the Academy has reached out to Michael Rappaport for the hosting gig.
