06.10.09 CHEAP TRICK SINGS ABOUT TRANSFORMERS
Here’s Cheap Trick playing the Transformers theme from Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. The new song sounds a lot like “Surrender” – possibly the best song ever written on the subject of someone’s mother getting venereal disease. The soundtrack also features Linkin Park, Nickelback, Hoobastank, and Staind, which are like venereal diseases for your ears.
(It’s pretty obvious why Michael Bay wanted Cheap Trick on the soundtrack. Bay calls Rick Nielsen’s five-necked guitar “the Michael Bay of guitars.”)

CHEAP TRICK SINGS ABOUT TRANSFORMERS
Say what you will, dude’s got a pretty good rating.
Sounds like a great soundtrack.
*finishes giving girlfriend a navel tattoo, snorts line*
Perfect fit seeing as the last time Transformers and Cheap Trick were relevant was in the fucking 80s.
o/` Just the other day I heard of ninjas hanging from / some Indonesian walk in closet rod o/`
If this soundtrack is a hit, Michael Bay plans on using a Van Halen song for Transformers 3.
*exits hibernation*
I would buy..errr..steal this soundtrack if it included a bonus track of Peter Cullen simply reading lyrics about bodies hitting floors.
Pink YouTube controls? We supporting breast cancer, or did the woman sneak to my laptop again? I kept an eye on her last night, pretty sure she didn’t leave the kitchen. As instructed. As it should be. Amen.
I’m surprised that Bay didn’t use Tenacious D’s song “Master Exploder” for the title track. Or “Boom! Shake the room” By DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Will Smith
How the hell did Michael Bay not include Mr. Roboto for fuck’s sake?
You just know Dennis DeYoung has been waiting by the phone since the first Transformers came out.
I didn’t even know transformers had a soundtrack. do explosions count as music.
Cheap Trick was the obvious choice since they can only transform into cassettes. Saves money on CGI.
Michael Bay’s favorite piece of music is the “1812 Overture.” Cannons make everything better.
I want you to
want medie in a fucking oil fire.Yeah, well, your Mom’s a cheap trick.
Hey, remember when Bun E. Carlos completely raped Cheap Trick’s legacy by joining Tinted Windows with Taylor Hansen?
If David Carradine had five necks, he would tie all of them to his junk.
It would truly be a travesty if there isn’t any T-Pain robot voice song on the soundtrack.
Cheap Trick officially sucks.
Mute Math’s version on the first one was about 50 times better than Cheap Trick’s. I think its time those guys hung up their instruments and called it a day.
And wow…MAJOR failure on the soundtrack lineup.
