Here’s a fun little video of Bill Shatner watching the trailer for the new JJ Abrams’ Star Trek movie. Oh Bill. What an actor. This is why when people complain about new Star Trek stuff not being faithful enough to the original, you should probably just back away slowly.

I can totally see why people have devoted their lives to this show’s legacy.
see? How can you possibly replicate the awesomeness?
You should see how he reacted to seeing a John Wayne movie about a Mongolian warlord.
Is it just me or does the kid in the new trailer say his name is “James Siberius Kirk”?
The real problem in this movie is when Kirk and Spock’s evil twins come after them. Since neither of them are old enough to grow facial hair, you can’t tell them apart.
Aw, they cut just before the best part of that - after he looks in the mirror, he picks up the monitor and starts gnawing on it like a polar bear.
Sounds like he says, “James Thiberius Kirk.”
Judging by the beer sweats, I’d say he was just hungover as fuck.
It would have been more believable had the kid said, “James Tiberius Kirk, Motherfucker! Do you think that punk ass Picard could’ve pulled that little trick off?”.
