You don’t need to know that $quid comes from Australian filmmakers Daley Pearson and Luke Tierney. And you don’t need to know that you can watch the short film upon which it’s based after the jump. In fact, all you really need to know is that $quid is about a guy who owes money to a giant squid.

I picture $quid wearing Fubu and “raising the roof” a lot. And wearing sunglasses at night. Lenses as big as dinner plates, of course.
