Anthony Hopkins is Everywhere, Focker
In an interview with MTV, Hopkins confirmed that he will be playing Alfred Hitchcock in a movie from director Ryan Murphy (Running With Scissors). And this only a few days after confirmation that he will be playing Benicio Del Toro’s father in The Wolf Man. Rumor has it the actors entertain themselves on set by staging talking-slowly-in strange-accents contests. [MTV, /Film]
Hey, Let’s Remake Stuff
An Exorcist remake may be on the way. Nevermind that it’s already had two prequels and two sequels and all of them sucked, Hollywood never met a dead horse that it couldn’t beat, then resurrect in a zombie movie and beat again in 8 sequels. Ooh, guess what else – a Child’s Play remake! Four Chucky movies weren’t enough, so they want to remake the first one. I’ve said it before, but honestly people, is it that hard to come up with a new idea for a horror movie? Look at Chucky: It’s a fucking doll with a fucking knife. How long do you think that took to dream up? Doesn’t anyone smoke weed anymore? [cinematical, IESB]
Rambo Be Thy Name
John Rambo/Rambo:To Hell and Back is officially just Rambo now. Reportedly, the studio wants to do a fifth one, and Stallone may be inclined to agree, provided they also finance an Edgar Allan Poe biopic, for which he wants to direct Robert Downey Jr. Man, can you imagine the results of a syringe mixup on that set? Downey’d start developing a brow ridge and bacne; Stallone’d be all confused and waking up in little girls’ bedrooms. You want an original horror movie idea, look no further. [Cinema Blend]

Stop the remakes. Please?
What was the last good movie Tony Hopkins was in? Anyone? Name and year.
The Mighty Fek’lhr had an uncle that appeared in Child’s Play 2. No bullshit!
additional HILARIOUS comment
Okay, make that simply "HILARIOUS comment"
I’ve got Shadowlands 1993… any advance on 1993?
The Mighty Fek’lhr was also interviewed by KWWL during the indy wrestling show (WLW) in Waterloo, IA! They put Him on TV!
Waterloo is also Fek’lhr’s favorite ABBA song.
Or was that Remains of the Day 1993? Whichever one was the good one. With the crying. The good crying…
I mean GRRRR HARDCORE LESBIAN ACTION!!!
At risk of sounding teh ghey, I thought Legends of The Fall was excellent. 1994
Probably due to the fact that I got laid directly after seeing it.
By a woman.
Honestly.
There is no way he can play Benico Del Toro’s father. Are they going to black him up? Wait. Benico is black, right?
JHC: I think I have to disqualify that given the rosey tint that emptying your balls into some unfortunate woman gave the event…
Meet Joe Black (’98). Not a huge role but a well played one. Didn’t really involve any actual "acting" per se, but well played nonetheless.
Yeah, but it had EEELLLLIIIIOOOOTTTT in it. Can it be that bad of a movie?
I wish there was only one asshole incharge of Hollywood, that way we could just kill him and be done with it. But NO, there is a conglomerate of morons that continue to make bad choices. Actually I would welcome bad choices cause chance are that means they used an original script and it flopped. These are safe choices, because they know the American public already loved it once and they are a bunch of dopes that will pay to see it again. That is why I hate people. Everyone but the CKT!
Can Lance’s musings on a post (not the thread be eligible for comments of the week? Cuz, Doesn’t anyone smoke weed anymore and syringe mix-up on the Stallone, Downey Jr. set had me falling off my chair laughing and in pain. (I told my boss I caught a sudden horrible cramp.)
**unenthusiasticly** woot
Luch: Meet Joe Black was so slow I wanted to stab myself in the eye with a fork just so it would give me something to do… Just my opinion.
Yes, but well played. (Weird accent)
Oh, good MOVIE. I misunderstood. I was just thinking about a good ROLE. I stand corrected. Commence with beatdown.
EOBD, I am outta here!
Later, doug
Repossessed!!! that was a good spoof!
"So what did John Handcock do?"
Where are the Comments of the week? I need validation… Love me! Need me! Hug me!
And if I don’t get it I’ll just bottle it up and fill that aching hole with vodka…
(sounds a bit perverted)
Out of character and slightly off topic, but do you remember when Martha Stewart was dating Anthony Hopkins but said she had to break up with him because she couldn’t help but think of him as Hannibal Lecter?
That makes me wonder, what the fuck is left for Ted Levine? I know he has a good character on Monk, but he has to set off "Pederast/Killer Sirens" everywhere he goes. If I saw that fucking guy, I would probably try to kill him and claim self-defense.
Am I alone here? If Martha cannot overcome "Hannibalism", I sure as hell am not giving up the "Ted ‘I want to rape and kill your children, then you’ Levine".
12 minutes before I leave, head to that double wide trailer to buy meth, and go home and masturbate while NOT reading filmdrunk. Unless I get a comments of the week before I leave. You’ve been warned.
Also, I realize Buffalo Bill wasn’t portrayed as a pedophile in the movie, but what the fuck ever. Yeah, I bet a guy that skins women to wear their skin and dances around with his dick tucked between his legs would really shy away from raping a 4 year old.
Why yes, Fuk’er. He would shy away. Buffalo Bill has class. He’s a stately gentleman that sticks to his virtues and convictions. do not put him in the same class as bryces grandma.ÂÂ
I’d fuck me….
New rule at Filmdrunk: Don’t reply to me if you can’t say something intelligent/constructive/meaningful (eyeing dubdub).
Fawkin’ shit!
I did fuck me!
What?
Does that mean that my reply to your Waterloo, IA comment fell into one of those catergories?
I’m doing comments of the week tomorrow. So if you think you really deserve it and said something funny, find that something and paste it here:
[filmdrunk.com];
I preferred Fek when he spoke in the 3rd person. Since becoming ALF he basically talks like a bitter version of ALF…
aw, now that is truly niggardly. Look it up, its in the dictionary. Going home. Later computator.
Yeah I’m out too. Laters.
dammit, Lance! wtf am i supposed to do for the next hour at work if i can’t read the comments of the week? whadaya want me to do? work? i think not.
bryce – Do you think there’s a version of ALF that exists today that isn’t bitter?
well then congrats Lance. looks like you killed the thread. a’ight, tomorrow then fuckers, see ya there.
Aw… I have nowhere else to go!
Lance’s enthusiasm for reading through our (well, mostly your) inane ramblings appears to be waning. Post your own nominations indeed, haha. if only i could.. i’d make this world a better place.
Kill your self.
What? I was just trying to help.
i had to work again you guys…but i guess i didn’t miss much?
just looks like we all chased lance into the windmeal and now we’re waiting with torches and pitchforks for him to come out?
f.y.i. you can eat a ‘windmeal’ .
i fell asleep, what did i miss?
Aww, but i like this self.
Notice how everyone disappears when they know they wont see any comments of the week?
I think you are all winners!!!!
he
hehehehehe
I tried so hard not to laugh, I did
HA! I
FUCKKILL ME!The Mighty Fek’lhr is sure that a pedophile would never dress up as Alf before
going on Datelineraping childrentrick or treating.where’s geroge washingto ?
I’m special!
Yes, because the original Exorcist was such a wonderful achievement worthy of resurrection. It was shocking for the time it was released and hardly held up a decade later.
it is kind of silly when u see it now satan
by the way, in case anyone cares, i will be gone from here for an as yet undetermined amount of time.
please make many dick jokes in my abscence
Why did the dick cross the road?
To fuck Eibmoz’s mama in the ass! HA! I
fuckkill me!Hopkins is completely fucking over-rated. What a goddamn bore. Get lost you old puffed-up crumbly.
I liked "Hearts In Atlantis" circa 2001.
They’ve already raped "The Exorcist" by putting in the crab walking CGI Linda Blair a few years back. let it die in peace.
Instead of doing a remake of "Child’s Play", why not just give us a 5th movie? IMO, this franchise only got better with each installment, and the last one left it wide open for another sequel.
